It does not cost much and only takes about five minutes per week, but it will add so much life onto the car. Let’s get back on task to car polishing, though.
Car polish application is actually a simple process. Make sure that your car is clean and dry before you begin applying any car polish. Once washing and drying has been completed, begin applying the car polish to one section of the car at a time.

A good wash down and use of car shampoo is a must before proceeding with the next step in your car care routine, which is car polishing. To wash down your car, carwash supplies such as a good strong hose, and differential nozzles would be required as also requisite carwash sponges and towels. The latest micro fiber towels are better than traditional sponges as they do not scratch the paint. They are slightly more expensive than sponges but are worth the money. Washing a car requires a combination of spray jet and jet spray, facility which is available in adjustable nozzles which are commonly available.

Car wax is to car paint, as conditioner is to hair for a person. It forms a barrier to shield from outside elements. As a bonus, your car will shine and little imperfections do not show as much. Regular application of car wax can keep your car looking new. You do not have to go to a car detailing place like I did.

The life of a good quality car wax is 3 to 4 months thus there is a need for reapplication every 3 months.
Before a car is waxed it is preferred to get it buffered with an electric buffer to remove minor scratches and nay irregularity in the paint, after buffering only it is advisable to wax the car which should be repeated every three months. The essentials to start waxing your car is wax, a clean soft towel and a small sponge. Also your car needs to be clean and dry before you start waxing it. Be careful as to take a non abrasive car wax so as to not damage your car.

Car owners accessorize their cars much more there than they do here. They add chrome wheels and custom door lock knobs. It is a way to express yourself. It is who you are. Here, a car is a mode of transportation.

The body of your car will last much lost because it will not rust, you will not spend money on paint jobs, and your car will bring more money as a trade in if you use car polish at least once every three to four months. I like to do it periodically because I know that it will bring benefits in the long run. I like to use the following holidays as a reminder to wax the car: Valentines Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.
Off on a tangent, regular car washing is important, as well. Actually, car washing is just as important as waxing, especially if you live in an area where the roads are treated with salt in the winter.

Car polishing is in fact being commercially used before the 1930’s. Due to the mass commercialization and the popularity of car polish, it is readily available in stores. To better appreciate the use of car polish, it should be understood that the polish acts like a sand on the surface of the vehicle. The only major difference is that it is an abrasive substance that sticks to the outer frame and makes it shiny. Certain natural colors like red are exposed to the natural sunlight that makes them vulnerable to rust.

Application of car polish is a painstaking procedure, a technique that needs to be mastered. Before applying car polish, your car must be washed thoroughly. Wash first with plain water and then with a car specified detergent mix. Detergent used for washing clothes are never to be used as they are strong and may damage your car paint. The third stage is to again wash off the car detergent with plain water.

Yes, its true that polishing a car requires a little cash but savvy owners know that there is nothing better then a nice looking car. Almost every dealership has a polished car because it increases its resale value.
Don’t ever start polishing before reading the instructions. Follow the guidelines on the container as it might contain an important clue to the well being of your vehicle. Also, never polish the car in a cold or humid environment.

Apply wax in a circular motion across the entire outer frame. Be careful not to put the car polish in gaps around the structure. When done, take a cotton cloth and wipe out the car polish. While doing so, remove any remaining residue which sometimes accumulates as white stains. The final step will be to clean your car once again with a dry cloth.

So what is the deal on car wax? Is car wax the same thing as polish? Use some caution when you purchase your car wax. Car wax is not the same thing as polish. Polish has an abrasive in it that can damage your car if you do not follow up with car wax. Polish uses an abrasive and can leave the finish on your car even more exposed to the elements so you should follow it by using car wax. Some products have both polish and car wax and you can do them both in one step.

Exposed metal leads to corrosion, rust and reduction in the life of the car as also its resale value. Car polishes come in various forms and have varying ingredients. However, most car polishes have abrasive component to help remove the oil and grime marks. Some car polish products also include filler agents to fill in the gaps left by scratch marks.
Polishing a car is an involved process, a practiced procedure really.

To better appreciate the use of car polish, it should be understood that the polish acts like a sand on the surface of the vehicle. In fact the sand also shines the surface but the only difference between the two substance lies in the abrasive nature of the car polish which makes it stick, harden and shine, at the same time. Certain natural colors like red are exposed to the natural sunlight that makes them vulnerable to rust.

Car wax is not the same thing as polish. Polish has an abrasive in it that can damage your car if you do not follow up with car wax. Polish uses an abrasive and can leave the finish on your car even more exposed to the elements so you should follow it by using car wax. Some products on the market have both a polish and a car wax in them. Expert auto detailers say you should apply the polish and the car wax separately.

Lighter cars can take either kind of wax, depending on whether you value color or gleam more highly.
Is there much plastic on your car? Some car waxes react poorly to matte plastic, especially the porous, dark kind so popular on recent models, and deposit a residue that may need extra attention with a special cleaner to remove. If your car has a lot of visible plastic, make sure the wax you choose is compatible with plastic.
How long do you want each application of car wax to last, and how much time are you willing to invest in waxing? In a Consumer Reports comparison test, liquid waxes lasted the longest and cleaned the best. They also took the longest to apply, mainly because of all the extra buffing needed to spread the wax evenly and reduce streaking.

This step will ensure that provide that great shine you are looking for, and waxing over dust and dirt can cause surface scratches. The next step is applying your choice in a quality car wax, beginning at one end and working in small sections until you reach the other end. It is best to use either a towel made of terry cloth or a cloth diaper to apply the waxing substance using circular motions. After the product has dried, using a clean towel begin using circular motions again to remove it, and you will also want to regularly shake the towel out of dried particles. When you have finished, you just might be surprised at the shine and beauty that was hiding underneath a once very dull looking paint job.

A wax containing abrasives can cause scratches to the surface and can haze the paint.
Most experts consider Carnauba wax to be of very good quality. Carnauba Wax is more expensive but is better than the others because of its ability to stick and being easier to buff. However, hard work is still required during the application no matter how good the quality of the Car Wax is. Reading the instructions on the product is important before applying the car wax.

The smartness, reliability, possible financial worth as well as dependability of a car owner is reflected through the physical appearance of the car. A well groomed set of wheels is more likely to garner you more friends and associates rather than a dirty unkempt automobile. Folks in North America are true car lovers and their love for cars makes it important to maintain the right appearance as looks do matter. To keep a clean shiny car requires car accessories and certain amount of physical labor. Carwash supplies are therefore an integral part of any car owners monthly shopping list.

Carnauba wax is better at keeping out moisture and it is easier to buff than typical car wax, and therefore it is a bit more costly.
Another tip is that it is best to avoid waxes containing granules or anything abrasive unless you are a professional. Granular car waxes can cause damage to your paint if not used on the correct colors and finishes. When in doubt, always go with smooth.
A good car wax is usually stiff and relatively hard to buff on and off the vehicle.
